Carmen is a Los Angeles-based arts manager, event producer, and serves as artEquity’s Program Manager for Organizational Consulting. She joins the artEquity team from the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) where she served the Associate Producer for Community Engagement. A native of the Washington, DC area, Carmen has held various marketing, sales and audience development roles with Washington DC's acclaimed Arena Stage; Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts; Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts; and has worked on various consulting projects with New York's Walker International Communications Group since 2012. She is deeply involved in social justice and economic empowerment through the Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals where she serves as Chair of the Membership Committee. Carmen holds a Masters of Arts in Arts Management from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Maryland, College Park.
